New Orleans has already experienced its first dose of summer heat as Memorial Day approaches, and we’re dreaming of kicking off summer by laying out by the pool and cooling off in crystal blue waters, cocktail in hand.

If you aren’t lucky enough to have your own backyard oasis, don’t worry. The city has plenty of swimming options to help beat the relentless summer heat.

And for those of us who want a little relaxation and prefer to stay away from places geared towards kids, there are plenty of hotels offering more sophisticated fun.

A variety of New Orleans area hotels offer their own pool passes or passes through Resort Pass, which allows you to book amenities at local hotels.

Here’s the list.

2. Virgin Hotels New Orleans

If you’re interested in a pool day in the heart of downtown New Orleans, Virgin Hotels in the Central Business District lets guests purchase day passes for their rooftop pool through Resort Pass.
