DENVER (KDVR) — The Crawford Hotel at Denver’s Union Station underwent a “major renovation” for its 10th anniversary.
Union Station originally opened in 1881, and it reopened in July 2014 after a $54 million renovation, which included the opening of The Crawford Hotel.
After a decade in service, all 112 rooms got a luxurious design update, and the hotel now has a new lobby space with private elevator access.
The new lobby space, The Crawford Parlour, is separate from the Union Station Great Hall. According to a release from the hotel, the new space will allow for lobby programming like live local music, welcome cocktails, amuse-bouche tastings, private experiences and more.

After renovations designed by DLR Group and Sage Studio, guest rooms now feature custom-made furniture, jewel-toned decor, locally sourced art and floral ceiling coverings.
The updates are detail-oriented, inspired by elegant train rides on the Orient Express. A release from the hotel said it is “designed to embrace the grand architecture of Denver Union Station.”
The details go down to light fixtures inspired by pearls and even smart alarm clocks that are designed by sleep scientists. The Loftie alarm clocks can tell bedtime stories for both children and adults, celebrating Dana Crawford’s life and legacy as an influential businesswoman in Denver’s history.
More renovations are expected to be completed this July to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the revitalization of Union Station. According to the release, the $11 million renovation will also include the Great Hall, Cooper Lounge and 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
