Firefighters Battle Fierce Fire in Abandoned Hollywood Hotel – Los Angeles Fire Department

The Los Angeles Fire Department battled a major emergency structure fire in Hollywood early Sunday morning, involving a vacant and abandoned hotel. 

 

The fire was reported at 3:15 AM on May 19, 2024 at 1624 Schrader Boulevard

It took 127 LAFD responders under the command of Assistant Chief Douglas Lewis, 98 minutes to extinguish flames that heavily damaged the large two-story building formerly known as the Cielo Hotel. 

No injuries have been reported. 

Firefighters will remain at the scene through Sunday morning to extinguish hotspots and assist with the active investigation into the cause of the blaze.
