HYDE VENTURES INTO TURKEY: Hyde, part of Ennismore, has made its Turkish debut with the opening of Hyde Bodrum. The adults-only, all-inclusive hotel is located on the shores of the Bodrum Peninsula and features 212 rooms and suites, including four villas. This is the first Hyde property to offer an all-inclusive, adults-only experience. The hotel features musical programming and wellbeing sessions, along with a Pilates studio, gym and a yoga studio. Hyde Bodrum includes a pool, five restaurants and bars and meeting spaces. With existing hotels in Dubai, Miami, Ibiza and Hollywood, Fla., Hyde is set to open properties in London and Perth.

HOTEL INDIGO SIGNS IN BANGKOK: IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Hotel Indigo brand in Thailand and has signed an agreement with Magnolia Quality Development Corp. Ltd. Hotel Indigo The Forestias Bangkok is expected to open in 2026 at The Forestias, a new 64-hectare mixed-use development on the eastern parts of Bangkok, and will be located along with residential and office space, dining, a hospital, retail and entertainment options as well as event spaces. The hotel will offer a café, lounge, pool bar, gym, pool and more than 6,500 square meters of meeting space for up to 400 persons. The Forestias will also be home to the 85-key Six Senses The Forestias and 27 residences development attached to a five-hectare forest park. Thailand is a strong growth market for IHG and is home to 39 IHG hotels under nine brands, with 37 more in the pipeline. Hotel Indigo’s global portfolio currently consists of 153 hotels and over 130 in the pipeline.

U.S. PERFORMANCE UPDATE: U.S. hotel performance declined from the previous week and comparable period in 2023, aligning with Passover, revealed data by CoStar through April 27.

  • ADR: $154.44 (-1.3%)
  • RevPAR: $101.42 (-2.5%)

Among the top 25 markets, only Seattle saw double-digit increase in occupancy (+15.6% to 74.6%). Detroit, host of the NFL Draft, witnessed the highest jump in both ADR (+21.8% to $147.83) and RevPAR (+25.6% to $94.74). The steepest declines in each of the three key performance metrics were recorded in San Francisco/San Mateo: occupancy (-16.7% to 67.5%), ADR (-37.3% to $190.91), and RevPAR (-47.7% to $128.79).

GENCOM SECURES REFI FOR ROSEWOOD BERMUDA: Affiliates of Gencom have refinanced the Rosewood Bermuda, the luxury resort  located in Bermuda’s Tucker’s Point. The financing was originated by Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. and KSL Capital Partners LLC for an undisclosed amount and terms. Tucker’s Point is a master-planned community spread across 240 acres and houses more than 800 linear feet of beachfront. Gencom acquired the resort in 2017 out of receivership, operational overhaul and went on to execute several repositioning initiatives, including an operational overhaul and over $24 million renovation of the property. Gencom now plans to undertake a $17 million refurbishment of the resort, which includes upgrades to the golf course and beach club and adding new amenities and dining options. Operated by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, the 88-key luxury property offers views of the Atlantic Ocean, Castle Harbour and Harrington Sound. The resort features a 2,700-square-foot ballroom, a 12,000-square-foot spa, a pool and several dining venues. Gencom is also developing the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda.

PAZZIELLA GARDEN & SUITES OPENS: Pazziella Garden & Suites in Capri, Italy has officially opened for the spring and summer season, following a transformation by the Salvatore Naldi Group. Originally a private villa dating back to the early 1920s, the hotel was established as A’Pazziella in 1950. The 25-suite hotel is currently owned by the Naldi family and is a significant investment in their portfolio of properties in Italy. The floor-to-ceiling interior renovation took place over two-and-a-half years and was led by Teresa Coscia Naldi in collaboration with architect Rosanna Coscia. The hotel features gardens, a bar and restaurant and a pool.
